“If you're looking for a pleasant holidays with family choose this hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

Summer 2011,June.
My family( mom,dad,4 year old brother and me,i am 16) decided to visit Greece again. We have already been here for a few times but we wanted to explore a new hotel.
So,the most important about this hotel:

1. Room and living
As were travelling with all family we wanted a big room.Candia Park gave us a large room, with all modern conveniences and even kitchen! What is more, this room didn't cost as a double room!Rooms are situated in small houses ( about 4 rooms per house). Every room had a terrace and each house was surrounded by its own little patch of green. It was very useful because while parents were drinking coffee on this terrace my small brother was playing with other kids on this patch of green :)

2.Food and restaurants
We were completely satisfied with food and service. There were many kids of salads, meat, fruit and deserts. There eve was a small table with food for kids (!).

3.Beach and sea
Well, the temperature of water was +25 or even more. Unfortunatelly, before you come into the sea you have to overcome rocky entry into the sea. This wasn't very pleasant, actually :P
Moreover, sea is situated near a small rock and this rock prevents sun from shining. After 6 PM we were not able to stay on the beach any more because it was becoming colder.

4. Location
It's located near the Agios Nikolaos but you can't get there by foot!!! If you want to get to it or to any other nearest city you have to take a taxi or bus or rent a car.Taxi to Agios Nikolas costs 8 euro.

Conclusion:
This is a family hotel and if you want to rest and to spend whole holidays with them this is your hotel. Of course,if you are looking for active- sorry, Candia Park doesn't suit you.
Our family was satisfied with this hotel and we're going to come back here again :)
Conclusion
This was a nice hotel and it suits

Room Tip: All rooms are fine.

“Excellent suite, excellent pool and grounds, far from town”

If you are looking for a resort and do not want to be in the middle of Ag. Nik. this is a great place to stay. There are cabs available to go into town, but I highly recommend renting a car if you are going to stay here. We were traveling from the States and had never been before so we didn't want to just stay at the resort. However, it is very relaxing. Gorgeous pool with loungers and umbrellas, private beach space, tennis, little overpriced grocery store, laundry, internet cafe. Seems like a great place for families. Our suite was lovely, had a full kitchen, balcony, sitting area; we definitely did not need all the space for just two of us. Restaurants on site are overpriced for what you get, but it is a resort.

“And again.....”

We loved it last year, so returned for the same week this year, 16th - 23rd October. Wonderful as ever. Weather was great, except for the Monday when it rained (strangely, the same as last year!). Because the food was so good last year, we opted for half board again this year. Again, fantastic selection of food, both at breakfast and Dinner. We treated ourselves this year to an upgraded Sea Front apartment. I cannot tell you how wonderful it was waking up going to the balcony and looking out over the fantastic view as the sun rose. Superb. Nothing more to add in addition to my last review last year. Love this place.

Room Tip: Sea Front rooms are fantastic, but cost a lot more. Worth it in our opinion.

We had a 2 week holiday there in september for the 3rd time in succesive years.Lots of space ,beatiful views across the bay,All apartments are different and its set out like a Greek village.Fabulous food and friendly staff.Although there are children around there is so much space and a mini club for the kids that we have never found them to be a problem. You are near to Elounda (pay a visit to spinalonga for an unforgetable experience and superb boat ride)Plaka for fresh fish and fabulous laid back lunches and Ag Nik at night time(visit the roof top bar by the taxi rank for an open air drink with a difference).
Yes youve guessed it! we had a fantastic holiday in a superb location and will be back again next year!

Room Tip: The site is steep lots of steps so if you have mobility problems as for a room near the pool or rest...

“Wonderful Holiday!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 November 2011

We had a wonderful week at the Candia Park in September 2011 and didn’t want to go home! The complex is beautiful with enough space to never feel over crowded, even though the hotel was fully booked! The pools are blissful and the beach and sea are clean and peaceful with enough tree cover to have an afternoon nap out of the sun.

We stayed B&B and the breakfast was varied and tasty. You could help yourself to as much as you wanted, from fruits and yoghurts, meats and cheeses to a full fry up with eggs and pancakes cooked fresh in front of you. Although there are a few restaurants within walking distance (all of which are good) the taverna on site was where I had my favourite meal. The moussaka is gorg!

If you want day trips you can jump on the local bus and go down to Elounda, great restaurants and Spinalonga island to visit. You can also walk to Havanya beach and can take a bus down to Agios Nikolaos (10 mins) which has lots of bars and restaurants set around a lagoon. My Fiancée and I had a great time in a bar called Sorrentos which we tumbled out of at 5am!

All in all wonderful hotel, we will definitely go back.
