“Comfortable, old school hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 November 2011

Located in the heart of town, this cosy, clean, family-run hotel has amazing views over the valley to the coast from the breakfast room/balcony and, if you’re lucky enough, from your room.

Our room was upstairs and was one of only three double rooms in the hotel. There is no lift access to these floors, so you will need to carry your luggage upstairs. Request a room downstairs if you need lift access.

The view was fantastic, but there was no outdoor furniture on the balcony, we had to carry chairs out from the room to make the most of the view.

The bathroom was shower-over-bath style, however the shower was hand-held only as there was no hook to hang the shower head from.

We found it easy to find on street parking near the hotel.

This hotel is worth it for the view alone.

PS: we also recommend Souvlaki Pita Gyros on Apollonos for fantastic (and cheap) gyros.

“Quaint but comfortable hotel in center of town”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 November 2011

The Hermes is a small comfortable hotel located in the center of Delphi with rooms overlooking the main street. It has a nice dining room which leads out to a large balcony with a stunning view of the inlet and the largest olive grove in Greece, The rooms are very clean, albeit somewhat small, with comfortable beds and nice, clean bathrooms. The staff is friendly and helpful with information about the town of Delphi. Given its location and the value of lodging at the hotel, I would recommend it to friends.

“not like we expected”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 August 2011

quite good, but not like we expected reading comments and photos.
very nice view from our room, but very similar as many hotels and restaurants in Delphi also for price.
We chose it for the view from room and having breakfast on the terrace overlooking the sea, but breakfast has been served inside, even we were in August and wonderful weather.
Nothing of particular to recommend it, just for one night.

“Thanks.”

I almost never write reviews on hotels that I stay at for just one night but the hospitality displayed during our brief stay was quite impressive. We had a party of two with separate rooms; I was given an upgrade to a larger family suite on the same floor on arrival. Both of our rooms had private balconies with views across the valley. The rooms were (very) clean and functional. Staff was across the board accommodating and friendly and the value for money is above average. The highlight had to be the breakfast buffet with spectacular views. Overall a great experience. Thumbs up.

“Stuff made us feel like home!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 June 2011

Nice location, Great view from 1st & 2nd floor, Good breakfast, very clean, comfortable stay, hot water all day, in town and very convenient in location. you can reach the archaeological site and museum in 10 minutes walk. Parking is free but difficult to find a free spot on the street. However this stands for any hotel in Delphi. You only need to move the car if you plan to move out of the village. If so don't miss a short ride to Arahova traditional village 8km away or from the opposite side of the village to head for Galaxidi (35 minutes by car) a small beautiful town to enjoy the sea and fresh fish/sea food in the local restaurants beside the marina. The hotel stuff is very kind, it is a family business for 40 years and the hotel is recently remodeled and clean as new! Elevator access only to the rooms down the lobby - not for 1st & 2nd floor. Except the museum and ancient site spend some time to visit Osios Lukas church an orthodox church built at 10th century with its marvelous mosaics (a monument of UNESCO World Heritage also). Also enjoy the refined olive oil of the territory some local pies and Arahova's traditional "formaela" cheese.

Room Tip: 2nd floor for best view 1st floor for less stairs.
