“Hard to eat”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2012

there r two good parts about this hotel: 1 the rooms were fine with an excellent view. 2 the staff were always smiling and nice. But food brought this hotel down, maybe because it was winter and since we were the only people staying here they only had left overs. the food is really bad u would rather not eat, and it also tasted like half of it was salt. i ended up trying to swallow as much as i could so it would not be wasted, but i failed.
otherwise this hotel will get a 4

“Good place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

I stayed here 1 day and 2 nights as part of the Chat Tours group. While walking through the passage on the way to the room, I remember thinking that it was like a prison with stone walls and steel doors. But the room was warm, pleasant and inviting. There was a bee in it when I got there. But by the time I called one of the staff, and opened the doors out on to the balcony, the bee had disappeared. She wasn’t sure what I was talking of and called reception for me. They offered to change the room but by the time the bee was nowhere to be found (and didn’t return later) and since the room was clean, I declined to change.

Bathroom was clean too and large but, if I remember correctly, I had some difficulty getting the stopper out of the tub when the tub was full and I had to drain it after my shower but it wasn’t something I would make a hue and cry over.

View from room was great – the mountains and the valley.

Breakfast was good but dinner was wonderful! What a spread! Difficult to restrain yourself and not overeat.

I didn’t use the pool but some people in the group did and said it was clean.

I found the staff polite and helpful.

Hotel is within walking distance from the town; so it was easy to go shopping.

Better than the Amalia Hotel at Olympia at which I had stayed earlier.

Would stay here again.

“The Oracle was right”

Travelling by hire car from Patras along the coast was a wonderful trip. Arriving at the Amalia was fantastic. The best position overlooking the Gulf of Corinth with a great pool and breakfast. A very short drive or walk into a small town and the Delphi sites and museum are just majestic. This place is truly the navel of the earth and quite amazing. History on show here. I would describe it as 70's chic retro classic. Think of the rat pack and the Pink Flamingo in Las Vegas for style. I loved it.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms with views of the gulf in the distance. If you can get one overlooking the pool, even...

“Delightful family hotel reasonably priced”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 January 2012

I have stayed here many times and it's always a pleasure returning. The hotel has a 70's style which is very practical and ofers great views through the large glass windows throughout. No luxuries just good alround facilities including a roomy lounge with a magnificent centre fireplace. The children enjoy this hotel very much, especially the large open spaces and the fireplace. The rooms are a little dated now but clean and the reasonable price makes up for this and the friendly staff are always a pleasure.

Room Tip: All rooms have great views

“Reasonable hotel for overnight stopover”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 November 2011

Stayed 1 night here in October as part of a conducted tour of Greek historical sites. The hotel is large with very good common areas. The rooms are a bit tired and dated and could do with refurbishment, but were fine for an overnight stopover. Had dinner and breakfast buffets at the hotel and these were good.
