This is a truely horrible hotel. The view as others have said is indeed stunning, you look out over a valley, mountains, and the ocean in the background. That is the only good thing to be said.
We stayed for only one night, and I would not recommend it to anyone. The beds were very small and hard. Sheets were worn and dingy. The decor was dated and sad. Walls are paper thin, you will hear your neighbor sneeze. The bathroom was mostly clean, but not great. Room was quite large, and did have a tv, but you cant really pick up any stations. The entire place smells of smoke. There is a balcony with the wonderful view, but the paint was pealing, the chairs and table were dirty, and the overall effect is not as nice as the view implies.
You reach your room either by walking down the staircase, or waiting a long time for a very slow and dingy elevator. The food was less than desirable. We had some kind of stew type main course, and dessert was vanilla ice cream.
This hotel was sold to us as a first class property. It certainly is not -- stay in one of the other charming places in town. Staff here were not friendly or helpful. We asked the front desk to retreive our bags for us at checkout as the elevator was not working. They sent a maid to get them, but man did I feel horrible, she was an elderly lady who had to struggle with our two bags, while the man who originally took our bags down sat there and watched.
Delphi is well worth a visit. The towns people are very friendly, the historic site is amazing, and the shops are interesting, just find another hotel to stay in. This place is not worth the risk.
