We stayed at this hotel with our 2 children for a week in the beginning of Aug. 2011. Our booking was for a “one bedroom family room” which turned out to be a very spacious 2 bedrooms, with a door between them, plus 2 bathrooms. Each room had each own TV set and DVD player and there was also a fridge. The decoration is simple and nice. The vast majority of the guests were from France and there were some Italians and a few from Russia. Apart from the very little pool for the babies, there is only 1- quite big- pool and at this time of year it was crowded. As for the sunbeds, they are not enough for all the guests and as everywhere you have to wake up early to reserve one (by placing your towel although officially not allowed). The beach is very beautiful with fine sand but during our stay the waves were so big that we didn’t dare entering the sea. The animation team was one of the best we ever met and there is sthg for everyone at all times. However the loud music and shouting started at 10:00 in the morning and there was a break only from 14:00 to 16:00. So if your room is next to the pool (like ours) there is no chance for siesta. The gym was completely outdated and the machines malfunctioning. The indoor pool was dark and uninviting and not carefully cleaned. The variety of the food during breakfast and dinner was quite satisfactory but the quality was average, some days even below average. What I liked most was that during breakfast there were fresh oranges that you could squeeze to make your own fresh juice. All the stuff and the managers were very polite and helpful at all time. WiFi was free, fast and reliable. Overall we spend a nice week, however next time I would try another hotel.

We stayed in this hotel for 10 wonderful days. There is amazing atmosphere,for soul. This hotel moustly is family hotel,but also we(young pair) found there
our small Heaven. We liked the gardens and beautiful places in hotels territory. Enjoyed SPA and events in the beautiful Olive tree restaurant. The main
restaurant was full of delicious food and very polite and smiley waiters.Very big Thank you for the hotel stuff and manager for rememberall stay.

We were booked into another Aquis hotel (Aquis Blue) for a holiday spanning the end of August and start of September. Despite booking in February, a few days beforehand Aquis Blue contacted us saying that they were double booked and that they could only offer us a split holiday with the first few days in Blue and then moving to Bella Beach. We refused and the eventual compromise was that we stayed in Bella Beach for the entire holiday. For that reason we will never book with Aquis again (for any of their hotels) and hence our low rating reflects the organisation rather than the Bella Beach hotel itself.

Regarding Bella Beach itself, our experience was one of extremes. The staff were polite and friendly to an extreme that puts them beyond anything we have ever experienced in 30+ years of holiday experiences. Quite simply this staff team are exceptionally skilled and very well trained and we can’t praise them highly enough. Another real positive was the quality of the food which was truly excellent.

On the down side was the noise of the entertainment/animation. While the animation team themselves were lovely and really made an effort, the constant techno/dance music at ridiculous volumes (day and evening) was at a level where at times a desire for quite conversation meant a walk to the beach to get away from the constant din. Almost exclusively aimed at the predominantly French residents (who, to be fair, lapped it up), it was not for the faint hearted.

To be fair to the hotel, a family with young kids could hardly do better than stay here and adolescents and young adults alike will likely really enjoy the place. But if you want a quiet and relaxing holiday then Bella Beach is not for you.

We have just returned for our holiday at Bella Beach, the hotel staff could not have been more welcoming and could not do enough for us. The location of the hotel was wonderful a nice walk to the local village. Lovely food everyone one catered for, we would definitely return and would most definitely recommend this hotel to everyone.
