“Good location - nothing else”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 November 2011

While the location of Delfini Hotel is great for catching an early morning ferry, that is about the extent of this hotel's appeal. I could feel the wires in the bed in my back - I ended up using my own sleeping bag and pillow on the beds. The toilet ran all night and the bathroom had a distinct smell of sewerage. The breakfast was expensive and all hot food (eg.cooked eggs) was cold as there was no one managing the food.

“Good location for catching a ferry”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 October 2011

This hotel is very basic. It's only redeeming feature is the fact that it is literally across the road from the port and bus stop. It is very handy when you have an early ferry to catch or arrive back from the islands very late. I stayed on two separate occasions and found both rooms to be basic but acceptable for a night's sleep. The WiFi worked well.

“Stay in Piraeus”

We stayed there for 1 night since we had to get into the ferry next day early in the morning. It was the best location if you need to get into a ferry next morning. The metro was 5 min walking distance. So we took metro to Athens when we needed. And there was a bus from airport to Piraeus. So coming to hotel was very easy too. Hotel was OK to satay. Remember if you are taking a ferry check the ferry slot number. Because the sea port is pretty big. It takes 30-45 min to walk from first entrance to last one. Delfini was located close to gate E8.

We slept one night and we were very dissaponted with the quality of the hotel. We payed 50€ and really not worth staying. The room was dirty and the receptionist was impolite.

“On a small budget. Satisfied.”

This hotel wasn't anything special, but who goes to Greece to hang out in the hotel?! We had a room with two single beds. There was space for our luggage and to walk through but not much more. Beds weren't terrible. Walls were thin and could hear neighbors easily. We stayed here three nights total and rode the metro into Athens- about a 15 minute ride.

We decided to spend the tiny bit extra to have breakfast included with our stay. It was worth it, we had plenty of options and we were able to fill our bellies with enough to last past lunch. eggs, yogurt, cereal, cake, toast, veggies, ham, cheese, coffee, juice, tea and more.

There was a decent commons room (same as breakfast buffet area) to hang out. Included a bar, a larger balcony (without much of a view), a television, & 5 computers were available for accessing the internet for a small fee.

All the employees we encountered were extremely friendly. When we checked in the receptionist was very helpful in getting us to where we needed to be to accomplish our plans.

Good for the price. We were traveling on a low budget and not looking for anything special. I would stay here again.

Room Tip: We looked at several rooms then picked- Just ask!
