Stayed in Faros for 1 night after arriving to Pireus with a late ferry. The hotel suits for a budget approach when you prefer to stay close to the port before/after your trip. Pictures show a bit more than you will find in the hotel. The receptionist was helpful, and really service minded. I found the air-conditioning a bit noisy, so was the room in the morning.

Trip to the hotel can be between 8-10 euros, and do not be surprised if you share the taxi with some other passengers. The trip to the airport takes appr 1 hour by taxi, but the bus stop to the airport shuttle is appr. 10 min.walking distance.

You get tv, fridge and free Internet in the room. Just ask for the wifi code at the reception.

With an early morning ferry the next day, we stayed one night in Faros II in Piraeus. Faros II, located just a block and a half from Faros I, is a small, budget hotel just two blocks from the ferry strip although depending on which ferry gate, it is close or up to a 15 minute walk. It is at the far end of the ferry area from the Metro station. It is close to a decent taverna and plenty of stores on the ferry strip.

The lobby and common facilities are good. There is one computer in the common area with internet access. The studio room we shared contained four single beds, arranged in pairs against different walls, with the L-shape of the room providing a slight feeling of separation. There are two air conditioners, one above each pair of beds, a closet, desk, a few nightstands, and refrigerator. One small bathroom. The room is fairly no-frills, dormitory style, with limited but reasonable amount of space. Reception was open 24/7 and were helpful the few times we asked.

Faros II met our needs as a budget pit stop from the airport to the ferry.

Is 15 minutes walking from the Port and if you pay a taxi from there, it's around 8€. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. Don't forget to ask the A/C remote control in the front desk.
This hotel is a good choice when you arrive late at night from the Greek islands and for the price is a very good option.

We stayed one night, arriving Pireus in a strike-day. Our only problem was the mosqitoes, and a bit of a street noise. We had to sleep with open terrace-door because of non-funtion AC. (Nobody told us that the thermostate was a fake, and that we had to get a remote-control in the reception). Apart from that, the hotel is a short walk from the harbour, just leave through gate 10, walk across the main street, three streets straight ahead, and you find it 50m to the right. Another short walk to the yacht-harbour with a lot of nice restaurants.
