The location is excellent, but be advised - this is a very basic accommodation. If you don't mind hostels, this will be great. If you are accustomed to luxury accommodation, you won't be happy here.
After spending the beginning of our Greece trip at the Plaka Hotel a few blocks away, my daughter and I spent a few weeks visiting various islands and then returned to Athens. Since we were playing it by ear at this point, and hadn't decided where we were going to be on this particular day, we didn't book very far in advance. We were fortunate to find the Nefeli for the one night before we had to catch our flight home. The location and low price certainly attracted us - we felt very much at home in this neighbor hood and were very happy to find this place. It is a step above a hostel; very "dorm-like". The furnishings are spartan, with only one flat pillow one the bed. When the room doors are closed, no matter how quietly you try, it makes a loud slamming noise --makes it difficult to sleep when people come in at all hours slamming the doors.
The place is neat and clean, which goes a long way in my book! I don't remember if there was free internet...our laptop went kaput on the beginning of our trip so we used internet cafes everywhere. There is an internet cafe a few blocks away, near Hadrian's Library.
There is a basic breakfast that is free, and was much appreciated at the end of our trip when funds were low!. The staff is very nice and helpful. It is a VERY short walk to Adrianou street and all of the shops, tavernas, and then of course, the Acropolis. If you are the young, or not-so-young (like me) backpacker type, this will suit you fine. You won't be spending much time there anyway because you'll be out having drinks, dinner, gelato and enjoying the Plaka.
Room Tip: Not sure if there are any
