sSayed at the begining of june for 3 nights. The room was on the 8th floor but had a lift, so ok. It was clean and tidy with a huge bathroom. The breakfast was fine, with plenty of bread to toast, butter, jams, 1 slice of cheese and 1 slice of ham, also a piece of cake. on 1 of the days we had a boiled egg instaed of cake, tea, coffee, juice. the only critisism is that there is only 1 small toaster, so have to wait to use this. This hotel is in the ideal place for all the sights and the metro to Piraeus and elewhere. Yes there is a lot of poor unfortunates outside the hotel and surrounding streets, but there is a police presence and never felt unsafe at all. would recommend for a cheap stay.

Ignore those who say the staff are rude. My husband and I had to cancel the first day of our stay (out of 3 nights), and the hotel were really wonderful about it. Despite the fact that they could have charged us the first night, they didn't. The breakfast was extra, but quite tasty. Credit card payments are an extra 5%, but the hotel has notices giving you plenty of pre-warning. Rooms are clean, tidy and comfortable. It is extremely close to the train station (turn right when exiting as sign is not visible from station), and 5 minutes to Zermatt. Excellent value.

We were very reluctant to stay after reading reviews. the area is not the best but no one annoyed us,we found the staff to be extremely helpful
