“An absolute gem.”

Not far the centre of the city this is a very well presented small hotel. Staff were excellent. Rooms are great. Free WiFi. Fridge. Jacuzzi bath was great - but note it only works a set times in the morning and evening - not sure why - the whole hotel was spotless. Nice bar/breakfast room on ground floor.

Area is not that bad at all - it is down a 'back' road. We paid £40 for a rear facing room and was upgraded to a front room with a balcony. We even got a free bottle of local wine. Plenty of local shops and restaurants.

I would highly recommend it - For value for money it can not be matched in Athens (or Europe).

Wish every capital city had a hotel like this.

“Excellent value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 December 2011

I stayed for a week in March 2011 and although the neighbourhood is not the best, as others have said, at no time did I feel unsafe or awkward, even when coming home late at night. Although females no doubt have to be more careful, some of them have also commented in the reviews that they felt quite comfortable.
The hotel and rooms are new and clean, there is free internet, the breakfast is excellent (but too big and quite repetitive), the staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly, and although the location is not central, everything is quite accessible and I even walked into the center a couple of times. Highly recommended.

“Good hotel in a strange location”

The other hotels in Athens must have got very mixed reviews for this one to end up as #3.
Staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms are very clean and modern, but the area feels uncomfortable.
I booked a suite, which was just a big room with a seating area (I think to qualify as a suite, a room should have a completely separate bedroom) but at the rate I paid I really can't complain.
Breakfast is big and the same price whether you eat it in the lounge downstairs or in your room. They start serving it at 7:00 with no end time, which I think is fabulous.
I was surprised by how old and tiny the TVs were, but they worked.
Great showers and I enjoyed the jacuzzi.

“Excellent hotel ...”

excellent reception and room service, big, quiet rooms, comfortable beds, Internet access with a printer(!!), and more. I stayed there five times as my holiday in that part of the world was based in Athens. I particularly loved the jacuzzi baths and the very cool 'star impression' light display they have on the room ceilings.
Only unfortunate con is the area - lots of groups of Middle eastern, African and Greek men hang around all the time especially near Viktorias station.
But one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in for the price. Another reason to stay is to meet Effie - the receptionist with the gorgeous smile!

“Good "value" hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 November 2011

Stayed here three nights at £60 a night. Overall, a smart new property offering a basic hotel with a simple bar/cafe downstairs. Located five minutes walk from the metro, and four stops from the city centre, but in a very scruffy district - dont bother to explore the locale! Lots of ambient noise (the yard at the back has four very large air coolers for the minimarket round the corner - permanent loud hum). There is a very nice pastry shop about fifty yards away, and minimarkets nearby. No good dining within 30 minutes walk, though. Eat in the centre of town! Staff very jolly and helpful.

Room:

about 140 square feet, looking over the back. Modern and shiny with a small balcony. Lights, TV, aircon all worked well, but no kettle.

Bed:

Good size proper double, but hard as nails (the Greeks seem to like hard hotel beds).

Bath:

Excellent bathroom that would have done justice to a four star hotel. Large room and bath, ample towels.

Overall:

If you are travelling on business on a budget this is a great offering. Not one for children, I would suggest. The Metro is excellent, and nearby.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back have air cooler noise 24/7. Rooms at the front have the street, but are probably...
