“It's just an useful hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 November 2011

This hotel is very well located, being just a few meters from the subway station and the Greek parliament. It is a dark region at night, but we didn't notice anything strange during our stay.
The bedroom was clean and with enough space. The wifi connection was very good in my bedroom.
The staff, especially Mr. "Jorge" was very helpful and friendly with us.
The breakfast was not very good and it was the weak point of the hotel.
In general, the cost-effectiveness was satisfactory.

“Nice hotel in the very center of Athens”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 October 2011

I stayed in Hotel Omiros for 4 nights in October.
The first thing about this hotel - it is in a great location, just a short walk away from Acropolis and few minutes from the Sintagma square. Direct metro and bus (24h) connections with airport from this square. Reasonable price (8 and 5 euros). Located on a quiet street away from the main tourist streets. Some nice cafes, tavernas and gift shops just few minutes away.
Service - very helpful staff at the reception, free internet and printer available.
Room - pretty small, but cosy for one person. Free wi-fi with good speed, however some interruptions possible. Bathroom is very small and toilet flush is really noisy. No curtains or glass walls around shower, so the floor gets wet very fast...
Room service - everything was done more or less ok, except the ash-tray on the balcony which you have to take care of yourself, I guess...
Breakfast - a bit disappointing. No warm food available except some toasts you can prepare yourself.
Nice extra - possibility to buy some refreshments and beverage 24h for reasonable price

“Great location and value”

We changed hotels fOmonia Square to Plaka. Glad we did. This hotel is in an excellent location and easy walk to Monistraki and cmfortable walk to the acopoplis through streets of markets. Metropole hotel was great for food and had a few meals there (around the corner). Rooms were basic but comfortable enough. Christos was o.k to deal with and helpful, as i could also speak a little Greek which helped me. Brakfast is big enough, and organised. Shower was way too small, and hard not to block the toilet.

“A clean, midrange hotel on the outskirts of the Plaka and in the shadow of Acropolis.”

Clean mid range hotel.  Located on the outskirts of the Plaka and a short walk to Acropolis.

I looked at some of the bad reviews of this place and can't understand why they would rate it with one star. My room is very clean/comfortable with a nice small balcony overlooking the street below. The staff was very accommodating and friendly.

There's alot of great places to eat nearby and a wonderful asian noodle place next door. ....if you get tired of mousaka!!

“Charming, Stellar Location, Nice room and balcony”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 October 2011

This hotel is in a super location in plaka about a block from Ermou street and 5-10 minute walk from the acropolis. The room was really nice and clean. The bathroom was really nicely tiled and bright and was closed off by a hallway and doorway from the bedroom (which I thought was nice). The bedroom furniture was nice and there was huge armoire and a flat screen tv in the room. The balcony was absolutely incredible. It was nice just to sit out on the balcony and look out over plaka and up at the starry night sky.

The front desk was very helpful, although the guy in the morning/afternoon shift seems to be perturbed when you ask him questions after you've checked out (I had an early flight and asked to leave my bag there for a few hours which he said I could but immediately went from being very friendly to being very sour acting). Other than that, I would definitely recommend it. The breakfast is okay. There were different kinds of meet which did not look too appealing (but I don't eat pork and tend to be a little picky about breakfast foods), hard boiled eggs, corn flakes, fruit salad, coffee, tea, and some really weak and watery orange juice which was not good.
