We were in Athens to celebrate our honeymoon and stayed in hotel Odeon. The personnel was fantastic! Such friendly and helpful people. The room was on the 6th floor and the air conditioner kept it nice and cool. On one morning we slept until 1pm and I thought the room is not going to be cleaned that day - the cleaners work on mornings. I was wrong. When we got back from the city the room was tidy again. Breakfast was good - bread, cereal, yoghurt, coffee, ham, cheese, tomatoes, olives... it kept us going util noon when we had lunch. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this hotel. The neighbourhood was a bit suspicious at first..but now I think I was just prejudiced. We were barhopping on saturday night and came back walking to the hotel. The whole street was empty of people. The ones we saw during daytime belonged to minor ethnic groups and were extremely friendly.
