Just got back from an amazing Greek adventure and used the AVA Hotel in Athens as our home away from home. This is definitely the place to stay in Athens for a holiday or business. The staff here is INCREDIBLE. The team here is passionate and caring, and always on top of things. The accommodations are very comfortable and modern and the breakfast is wonderful. The location is unbeatable as it's a super fast walk to everything. #1 all the way!!! Can't wait to stay here again!!

This is probably Athen's best-situated boutique hotel, a few minutes' walk from every historic site you'd want to visit. Athens can be crowded and noisy, but not at AVA. The hotel is quiet, beautiful-- a place to get the rest you need after a day at the Parthenon. A friendlier, more helpful staff than AVA's would be hard to find anywhere. We stopped at AVA following a week visiting multiple islands--another wonderful story for another review--and a prior week in Istanbul. By arrival time, our bags were stuffed with soiled clothing of all types. No longer needing so much stuff, we decided to ship it home. To my very pleasant surprise, a bilingual hotel staffer volunteered to accompany me to the post office. It was Friday, late afternoon and long lines awaited us. But, he audaciously bumped the line for me, risking the wrath of a very excited Greek gentleman, to insure my package would travel. AVA made Athens a memorable vacation for us. You'll love the place.

We have just returned after spending time in Athens and we could not have found a better place to stay! This boutique hotel is in the most amazing location in the Plaka, and in walking distance to almost everything! The room was exceptionally clean, all the amenities were available in the kitchenette, and all the staff were extremely friendly. They gave us fabulous recommendations for dinner which we were not disappointed with. Maria, the hotel Manager and her staff made our stay one which we will remember. We look forward to a return trip to Greece - and to the AVA Hotel!

Room tip: The windows/balcony doors are airtight and no noise from the street could be heard.

We stayed at the Ava Hotel in October. It is a lovely boutique hotel. The hotel is clean, beautifully decorated, and the service is outstanding. We had a beautiful roof top room which was just under the Parthenon and looked out to Hadrian's arch. The breakfast is not included, however we stayed and had an outstanding breakfast for 12 euros. Anything you could want is on the breakfast bar with made to order egg dishes. The juices are fresh squeezed and, of course, great coffee It is in the Plaka district. So many sites and great restaurants are just around the corner if you branch out from the hotel. If you are going to Athens and want to stay in near the Plaka, choose the Ava. You won't be disappointed.

Stayed in September. Beautiful rooms, like those shot in the 40's and 50's of places glamorous film stars stayed. Reasonable prices. Location great. Best thing: staff was friendly and helpful. In fact, I emailed them yesterday, two months after stay, and asked if they could find the name of a nearby shop from which I want to order something but did not know name. They went out, looked for and found shop and promptly emailed me name of it. Wow! Thanks! Would stay nowhere else in future.
