“would not stay here again”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 October 2010

The best thing i can say about this hotel is its location - close to the metro, Monastiraki square and other sights, and right on Ermou street, a busy shopping street and a straight shot down from Syntagma Square if you like that. Nelly, the owner has kind of a gruff personality, but that didn't bother me too much. I was still able to make friendly chit chat with her and got what i needed. The rooms are small and definitely no frills but that didn't bother me too much either. My biggest complaint about the hotel is that it wasn't clean, which for me is critical when you are sharing bathrooms with other people in the hotel. I stayed here because as a solo traveler I was looking to save a little money, but next time around I would probably spend a little more and stay somewhere else.

“DON'T GO TO PELLA INN : they are robbers !”

My friend and I arrived at the hotel "Pella Inn" on the 26th of July 2010 and a fat unfriendly woman at the reception desk told us that there was no room booked for us despite the fact that money had been taken from my credit card !!! I gave my booking confirmation number and my passport to her but she was very aggressive and she told me I was a liar !!! The hotel looked dirty. We had to find another hotel in the middle of the night and I was charged for the last night (because I didn't come to the hotel) even if I didn't sleep there because I was told there was no room ! This is called ROBBERY and it's a scandal ! Please, never go there, there are many other better places in Athens !

“Pella inn Hotel in Athens, not a highg standard but still allright”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 October 2009

It is located just in front of the beginning of the Flea Market of Monastiraki, and near the Monastiraki Metro station, from where you can go directly to the airport.
We slept 4 people in a room per 60€, because we stayed a week before in the "brother hotel" Metropolis, in Metropoulos st.

“Strange, dirty hotel - but great location and views”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 July 2009

If you're not bothered by a little dirt and squalor, and are looking for a conveniently located hotel near the Monastiraki metro station, with a great view of the Agora and Acropolis, then this is the hotel for you. If you are bothered by such things, consider looking elsewhere. This is a basic backpacker's hotel, nothing more. My husband and I stayed one night in a 45 euro room with 3 twin beds and shared bathroom and it was a bit squalid - dirty floors, thin, worn sheets, leaking toilet, etc. Then we switched to a 60 euro air-conditioned room with a double bed and private bathroom, which was nicer (but everything was still worn and a little dirty). There is free internet in the lounge, and "breakfast", which consists of 3 pieces of baguette, one packet of butter, one packet of jam, and coffee or tea. The view from the rooftop garden, however, is quite spectacular, and made up for a lot of shortcomings.
