“Great Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 December 2011

We stayed in this hotel for 2 weeks in October and it was great the room was a good size, clean and had a big bed. The staff in the hotel were always very helpful and were always happy to help. The area the hotel is in is safe at night unlike some other areas where hotels are located so walking back to the hotel late night is not a problem. The only down side i would say was that we could not get Wifi in the from we stayed in but other than that its a great hotel I would definitely stay here again.

“Quiet hotel with good service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 November 2011

We wanted to stay in a "good" area that was safe at night, with good hotel facilities, and somewhere where you would not be woken every five minutes by excessive street noise, traffic noise and sirens! We were not bothered about being too close to the City centre - after all in Athens everything is accessible by the integrated public transport system or even taxis. As we were only staying one night, we wanted a good nights sleep, air conditioning, a spacious clean well-appointed room and bathroom, and good breakfast. This hotel ticked all those boxes.

Our room was very spacious, very clean and well appointed - large wardrobes, safe, seating area and very comfortable beds with crisp, clean sheets and luxurious bedding. The bathroom was spotless and had lovely complimentary toiletries and bathrobes with slippers. The jacuzzi bath was nice with piping hot water at all times, and the room even had a balcony. We slept very well, and breakfast the next morning was varied - cereals, fruit juice, hot beverages, hot breakfast choice (eggs (fried and scrambled), bacon), toast, cold buffet selection (meats, cheese, Greek salad with feta and olives), croissants, rolls, tinned fruit, fresh fruit, Greek yogurts and even cake!

The only downside was the night we stayed there was a coach load of young people, who came down to breakfast when we did, and like locusts, devoured everything in sight and it took a while for the staff to replenish. But the reception staff were helpful and the hotel's public areas were clean and welcoming.

I would stay here again and recommend it to others - be aware that the local area is a little "run down" but the hotel is a little gem in the midst of it all, and as we walked around Athens we noticed that much of it is now looking "run down" (rubbish piles everywhere, streets in need of repair, stray dogs and cats everywhere!)

“Would definitely stay again”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 November 2011 via mobile

Booked for us as part of a school trip and this hotel was perfect for the job. We had nearly all the rooms on one floor so the usual anxiety about disturbing other guests was alleviated (even more so when another much bigger and very much noisier school party arrived). We tried to walk into the centre but gave up, it is too far for a group march but it is nice to know that the area was safe. Breakfast was plentiful and good if unimaginative. Dinner not bad although we had two vegetarians who were not well catered for - as so often in Greece.
The rooms were clean and comfortable, no one would describe them as luxurious. I don't know what we paid as it was part of an overall deal but it was one of the better hotels we stayed in and the staff were delightful.

“Good family experience”

Stayed here for 2 nights in a Famiyl room. The room and bathroom was well appointed. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We liked the location being a short trip away from the city as it gave us a chance to get a feel of the loca surrounds and would reccomend trying the gyros and bakeries in the neighborhood. There was a taxi strike on day we were to leave for Piraeus to catch our cruise ship however the hotel made available the hotel car which was a big relief. Breakfast was wholesome and they also make available playing cards etc for the kids to keep occupied.

“Very good business choice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 October 2011

I have stayed at Atrium on several occasions, all of which business related. The rooms are clean and spacy, the service efficient and the breakfast just what you need to get started.
The location is well suited for accessing companies in the southern part of Athens / Nea Smirni and the metro station is just 10 minutes walking distance.
The price is reasonable and the wifi seems to have enough bandwidth for late night work.

Tip: Taxi drivers usually do not know it even exists, so be prepared to provide street address and / or reference place.
