“Superb location for shopping but expected more from a 4-star hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 August 2010

The staff is most accommodating, courteous and helpful and the location is superb, especially for shopping in the Ermou and Kolonaki area. It's actually located on a pedestrian street, so taxi drivers cannot drop you off directly in front, some even do not know exactly where it is.

The room is not huge yet it is comfortable, but the bathroom is of generous size although the floor is constantly wet from an ineffective shower curtain. In addition, the corridor outside the room smelled badly. My fellow travellers were not satisfied by the breakfast or its serving times. Also, the lack of free wifi for such a hotel is a disappointment.

I must admit I expected more from a 4 star hotel. There are other hotels in central Athens offering the same price but better quality. I would not wish to use the particular hotel for anything other than a one-night stopover.

“Good value; good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 May 2010

This hotel is within 2 blocks of Syntagma Square, on a pedestrian street. There are several jumping cafes and restaurants in front of the hotel, so rooms on the front can be a bit noisy in the evening. Rooms are a good size and comfortable. The included breakfast is excellent. Rooms are reasonably priced, especially for a central location in Athens.

“Convenient and yet quiet location.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 July 2009

We booked this hotel only a day before arriving in Athens, and we consider ourselves lucky. The location is wonderful, just a few minutes to a metro station, and the metro is the best way to get around in Athens. It is a great advantage that the hotel is on a side street, so it's very quiet for Athens, considering it is so central. The room is not huge, but the bathroom is of generous size. The breakfast was fine. Just what we wanted for a quick stay in Athens.

“Yes, Each and every time I have visited Greece, I have stayed at the Lycabette. ”

The accomodations are comfortable though not luxury. The staff is most accomodating. The location is superb. I have booked reservations for my next trip to Greece in May. I am eagerly awaiting hearing about my request, so I can contact them by return e-mail. You see, I am Electronically ChallengedI have frequently stayed at the Lycabette Hotel on my visits to Greece for the past 20 plus years. The accomodations are adequate. The staff extremely accomodating, the location is perfect, and all this has made my visits to Greece most pleasurable. This time round I am being joined by relatives for the first week and then 4 friends plan to join me so we can visit the archaeological sitesI am truly looking foward to another most pleasurable experience at the Lycabette Hotel.
