“Not a Safe Location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 February 2011

I work in anti human trafficking. I was surprised to find easyjet reccomended this.
It is two doors from the casino where pimps meet, there were Romanian girls prostituting within 30 metres. We passed a guy injecting heroin in his groin, trousers down outside the hotel. Nice hotel otherwise, although not for families or children, internal landing huge windows are open at just above knee height to a sheer drop. Security is a concern, if you dont lock windows there is a 2 feet wide shelf outside, easy for access to rooms. breakfast was pretty good. Its close to Amonia - the one place you dont go as a tourist, had a purse stolen in first 3 hours, and met several others at police station. Amonia full of addicts dealing, prostitutes and pick pockets. not safe.

“Great breakfast...bad neighborhood..poor rooms”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2011

Possibly the best breakfast you will find in all of Greece. Especially for the price! The neighborhood is terrible. Hookers just outside the door, reminded me of late 70's Hell's Kitchen! The beds were horrible BUT CLEAN. The rooms leave A LOT to be desired.
The staff was extra friendly and willing to help in any way possible. Wake up calls were dead on! Perfect hotel for those that will only need a place to sleep and leave there bags.

“Basic hotel with friendly staff, central location, close to Metro.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2011

The hotel is 5 minutes from Omonia Metro station, central and quite easy to find, a good base. The area around Omonia square leaves a lot to be desired, dirty with homeless, prostitutes and drug users, although with a high Police presence doesn't feel threatening. The hotel is basic but generally clean, although a little old with signs of wear. Two lifts take you up to one of the nine floors. The room was of a reasonable size and quite comfortable with a refridgerator, but no kettle. Breakfast is served in the restaurant on the first floor and consisted of a reasonable selection of cold items and also warm bacon, 2 types of eggs and sausages. There is also a bar but we didn't use it.
Good value for money, would certainly go back again.

“Don´t travel alone”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 October 2010

The Hotel has a sufficient good service and the Staff are nice to you. Near to Omonia Metro Station but at night is a place where the homeless and addicted people stay. I don´t have any problems, walking with the group at night, but alone probably is dangerous.

“Stay away from this area!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 July 2010

The hotel itself was Ok, Helpful staff, ok beds and clean. If you want drinks, don't visit the bar.

The biggest issue was the location. We were warned by two taxidrivers, who told us that it was a really bad location. As many other here say, it stinks urine, there are a lot of prostitutes and illigale imigrants, in addition to the drugdealers. We did not feel safe, and choose to take taxis when we needed to leave or go to the hotel after it was dark!!

By the way, the famous Omonia Square, was important 100 years ago, today it is more like a roundabout near the central market. If I go back I would stay in the plaka-area:-)
