We stayed in two rooms at this hotel as it book-ended our trip to Mykonos.
DECOR: We were a little disappointed with the rooms because we had booked through a website that listed this as a "Superior" hotel (on a Basic/Superior/Deluxe scale). That being said, the rooms were clean. The first room we stayed at was on the first floor and the chairs on the balcony were in a state of complete disrepair. The room we stayed at on the last night was on the fourth floor; the air conditioner in this room was situated over the left side of the bed and one time it dripped on me... I was a little worried but over the course of the night I remained dry. The bathrooms were in good shape but the bathroom on the fourth floor was half the size of the first. There are in-room safes but you must obtain a key from the front desk. Ultimately both rooms were clean but a little drab, other than that they were fine.
FOOD: The breakfast was definitely above average! This was served on level one. It was a buffet style with a variety of croissants, eggs (fried and a scrambled/feta cheese style), meats, cereals, juices and coffee/tea. It was really very good and a highlight of our staying here.
One night we ate at LaBoheme, the hotel's Italian restaurant. The food was really quite good and the service was excellent. Sadly the decor, as in other parts of the hotel, was drab and in need of an update. Other than that it was surprisingly good!
STAFF: The staff was outstanding! Very friendly and helpful. No language barriers.
LOCATION: Litous St is pretty nice and has some beaches along it. Getting to the nearest Metro station was not walkable and we had the hotel call for a cab. The cabs charge a 2 euro sur-charge when the hotel calls and in total cost about 9 euros to get to the nearest Metro stop. It is a good idea to take a hotel business card on your way out because this is NOT the "Plaza Hotel" that most cab drivers think of. When we returned to the Metro stop we had four cab drivers talking to each other and using GPS to try and find Litous St (pronounced LEE-twos).
QUITE: The rooms were relatively quiet even when our neighbors were not. The big complaint, the fire alarm went off at about 3 am on our first night. By itself I would not mention it as I would be glad the fire alarm works.
However, the fire alarm went off at least once ever night (up to 3 times one night). Keep in mind, this hotel book-ended our trip so even when we returned after a week the fire alarm would still go off at least once. It only woke us up the one night, the other times were earlier, before we were sleeping.
