“Superb location, so-so hostel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 December 2011

The location of this hotel is great, its a stone's throw away from all shops, taxis, markets, etc so that is very convenient. We stayed here for a night and then had 4 days planned of visiting another island before we came back again to stay for a night. We kept half our luggage in their lockers. Our belongings were safely kept & returned to us (on payment), so that was great. The room in itself is very basic, we had the double bunk beds & the place has a common loo on the floor which was quite clean considering the whole floor was using it. This place is recommended for a short stay on a budget with basic minimum amenities. The breakfast is again decent, just basic breads, juices , fruits. So its manageable. Overall a decent place.

“Good place for one night”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 September 2011

We stayed there with friends ( 12 persons, between age 19 - 30 ) for a one night after coming from Santorini to see Athens and then to fly back home. To arrive around 10 in the morning, we could leave our luggage's there, they were able to make check in for a one room. All others rooms we got by 12 o'clock. Staff was friendly. Main door is locked all the time, so every time we arrive, we had to ring to bell. It felt safety. Also this hotel has closed garden with free wifi. All rooms were good, there was even bathroom in one of the rooms :) Other ones used bathrooms in corridor. There is also air conditioner in the rooms, so you can close windows and sleep just well ( because hotel in located next to the road and Acropolis, so you can't think that you will be in quiet place). Next morning the breakfast could have been better (we had bread, jam (orange and cherry), butter, eggs, milk and coffee). Because our plane was at 15 o'clock, we could keep the rooms longer then 10 o'clock ( when was the check out time). For longer staying is some other place better, but for one day to meet with Athens it was good, because it was close :)

Room Tip: Double rooms and better then quads ( in quads are bunk beds..)

“Not the best hotel.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 September 2011

I stayed here for one night in June 2011, and found the hotel quite poor. It is located down a side street and quite hard to find if you dont know where it is, even several locals were unable to give me directions. The rooms were very basic, and untidy. I tried paying with a credit card which they were unwilling to accept. I was due to stay here on my return from visiting the islands for 1 night prior to my flight home, and I cancelled the room and stayed somewhere better.

“Great location and the hostel was okey”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 August 2011

We stayed here for three nights, first one when we arrived in athen on our way out to the island, and then two on our way back.

The rooms were allright, quite clean except for the wool blanket, it was a bit scetchy. Slept allright, bring earplugs cause it is quite loud, either from the street or if it's people in the yard. Bathroom in the corridor.

Breakfast was included, on our first stay we left very early in the morning but the sleepy guy at the desk gave us some halv fresh bread and jam, not the best breakfast I've had but still nice since we left so early. The second morning we got more stuff, cherries and there was milk and cereal and stuff. Unfortunately the last morning there was only bread, jam and cucomber. That said, you can eat, but don't expect much, you get what you pay for.

The staff is generally kind, but when we asked for advice on places to eat and walk they had nothing to say at all, neither could they help with information about strikes (we were there just for the time of all the riots in June) or stuff like that.

Would stay here again if it was just for transfer, but not if I was staying in Athens for a couple of days.

“Nice friendly at home atmosphere!”

The hotel is small but very intimate, clean and well located in Plaka. Though the hotel is on a narrow but peaceful lane, it is not a problem to locate it from Syntagma Square. Staff are really good and friendly. Pakistani night staff is really helpful and guided us at his best. Breakfast was enough and good.
