I stayed twice at this Hotel for two weekends in a row!
First of all, the service is amazing! All people who work there are friendly, smily, happy, willing to help you and very quick!
The food is good, at lunch time we had fingerfood with was ok. We had free coffee during our stay in all public hotel floors. Toilets were clean and fresh.
My room was big, clean and fresh! The furniture were simple but stylish. The facilities were coffee and tea, some luxurius shampoo and shower gel, soap, slipppers, shoe shine etc...
There is a free wi fi connection which was slow, sometimes.
I felt safe, happy and relaxed. I don't think it's a 5 star hotel but I would definately come back.

In our last trip to Athens we changed from the Airotel Alexandros to the Stratos Vassilikos because I found the Alexandros was in need of an urgent renovation. The Stratos Vassilikos was only three blocks from the other and in better conditions.
The room was nice,the bath in very good conditions, the area quite nice too and the staff as good as in the Alexandros. The staff was always really helpful, giving directions and advice. I got a really good price.
It is around five blocks from the metro station but it is really a short walk and there are only two stations to Syntagma.

Stayed here last week on a work trip. It is a small, well-placed hotel, and the service is friendly and personal. However, I could not persuade the air-con in my room (which was otherwise fine) to work properly, and my room's location at the front of the hotel was very noisy, overlooking a busy road and two garages. Worth remembering that Athenians seem to drive about all night, presumably on their way to spend what little money is left in the country in the many bars and clubs before the lights go out completely! This makes the location issue a pretty important one.
Breakfast was certainly NOT five star - decent juice, but tired bread and pastries, and disappointing fruit and yoghurt - the things one might have expected to be up to scratch in Greece. Prices in the bar and restaurant looked reasonable, and a round of drinks did not require the mortgage sometimes needed in 'smart' European city hotels.
Nowhere to access the internet if one had not brought a laptop (which I had not on this occasion) - also something of a black mark.

i had a good time during my two nights here. the staff really tries to help its guests. the hotel is in a good area of town, not far from the metro system, which by the way is probably the cleanest one i have ever seen in my life. the room is a nice size, clean. I feel like i would have liked more though since the hotel is considered luxury. the breakfast was nice, a lot of stuff to chose from. the second day breakfast was a little easier to eat space wise. the first day the hotel was busy and all the tables were dirty when we went to eat.
