Dorian Inn
THE FACTS! & good for the price.
CHECK IN – was smooth no problems
ROOM - I stayed in two different rooms both were fine nothing special everything worked.
The first room was a bit small (I was traveling alone at the time) with a terrible view of a rundown dirty ally. The second room that my girlfriend joined me in staying in was more spacious and had a nice sized balcony with a view from the front of the hotel.
STAFF – The staff were nice and helpful with directions and even called and booked a tour to the Temple of Poseidon for me instead of just handing me a brochure. I don’t recall my room getting cleaned to often.
This hotel may have gotten a pretty Bland review if not for the Roof. On the roof you will find the restaurant, bar, and pool.
POOL – the pool itself is fine nothing out of the ordinary but it’s the panoramic view of the surrounding city of Athens that makes it great.
RESTAURANT – The restaurant and Bar are great they really made this average hotel come alive with a bit of fun and good food at a great price the 360 from the roof at night while eating dinner or socializing over a drink with some new friends was awesome with the postcard view of the Parthenon atop the Acropolis and all lit up… good times.
Some things I didn’t really like was that the hotel was not in the best part of town but far from the worst and a bit of a hike to the famed Plaka market. The nearest walk-in bank was also a bit of a trek.
