We selected this hotel for a whole raft of reasons, not least the rating given by TripAdviser. We were not disappointed, more than that, we were welcomed by obviously caring staff who always went out of their way to assist in whatever manner was required.
What was a bonus was the fact that we had booked for 5 nights at a very reasonable rate and we certainly were able to plan the holiday better since we were not pressed for time.
To everyone I would highly recommend this hotel in this city!

Room tip: Chose the side that can view the Acropolis - I do not know which side that is but is worth the view.

The hotel was amazing and beautiful with an amazing view but what encouraged me to write a review is how accommodating and helpful the staff was! Everyone was eager to help, pleasant and went out of their way to make our anniversary trip a success!

Arrived early, about 9:30am and had bags checked at no charge. Took a tour of the city with Dimitrius, who talked a lot but was a good driver/tour guide. Returned to hotel and taken to room which had a view of the Acropolis. Had a late dinner in the breakfast/dining room and to bed in a wonderfully comfortable bed and pillows. Bathroom was totally updated and beautiful. Room was warm and air conditioning did not work too well, but took some of the heat off. Breakfast was included and it was excellent. Service in all areas of the hotel was superb. Free internet and use of the small business center. We did hear street noise and dogs barking even though we were on third floor. This is an old building and perhaps that has something to do with sound proofing, or lack of. Had a very early departure on third day, 6:30am. Although the dining room was not open at that hour, one of the workers produced pastries, coffee and orange juice for us. A wonderful end to a really wonderful, short stay at this hotel and in Athens.

Room tip: Great location in heart of Athens, about 10 minutes to Acropolis and new museum. In Plaka and close to good restaurants. Terrific hotel and worth the money, about $350.00 - $300.00 per night.

We chose this hotel based on other Tripadvisor reviews. It was clean and comfortable with all the amenities you would expect for this price range. The bed was very comfortable and breakfast was nice, with a wide range of food choices available. The hotel is in a central location, easy walking distance from the Metro in Syntagma Square and from all the major attractions. There are many good tavernas near by as well as the restaurant in the hotel. The staff were polite and helpful but unobtrusive. The pool in the basement is small but nice for a late afternoon swim after a day sightseing and before going out for dinner. We visitied in October but the rooftop pool looked lovely and I would imagine would be great when it is open in the warmer months. We enjoyed 3 nights and were very happy with our choice.

Room tip: The room without view of the acropolis are cheaper and just a comfortable. You can see it from the rooftop restaurant and everywhere in the city so save your money and climb some local hills for the very best views.

Easy choice: A great location in Placka district, minutes walk to shopping/sites. 25 Euro taxi from pier/55 Euro (double night fare) to airport. Couldn't be more happy with location/staff. Restaurants and mini-marts within blocks. 6th floor room we had, sorta had a view of Acropolis, as with the balcony door open, we couldn't actually see the Acropolis but had the view reflected in the wall mirror (truly a room with a view on the budget!). Downside on the room was the A/C control only blew fan air (I'm betting the hotel turns off the A/C in so-called winter which was in the 70s during our stay) but balcony door opens for fresh air, although street noise is a slight din until about 2:00 am when things calm down. Typical up-scale European bathroom with a half-door shower which allows water onto floor, which is annoying, and for some reason, we had to keep asking for wash-cloths which were never routinely put out with our fresh towels: minor complaints for sure, considering the otherwise very nice room. Upstairs restaurant was pleasant but not memorable food, although the downstairs dining had a very tasteful menu at reasonable price (one of the best club sandwiches ever!). In short, why would you want to stay anywhere else, what with this great location, friendly helpful staff, in a upscale hotel at about $200 a night.
