My wife and I stayed at this hotel about 2 weeks ago for 5 days.To be blunt we were dissapointed , the rooms are small and tired and the carpet is dirty . Whilst the location is excellent ie a stones throw to Constitution square , the Plaka and the Acropolis overall the hotel is less than impressive.
I, like another reviewer also found one staff member from reception to be one of the rudest people i have ever come across . Her attitude from the outset was arrogant and completely dismissive of our most simple requests .Whilst I understand that Greece is having a tough time of it lately one would expect some modicum of professionalism during times of economic hardship so as to not lose customers.

Beautiful location. Excellent and very helpful staff! Wonderful resteraunts close buy! Room was very comfortable. Since building was old, had to keep door lock card in a dock inside to keep electricity running, but this was no problem. Air conditionwer was slow. So traveling in the hot months could be an issue. One block from La Plaka. No trouble with the riots at that time. The room was on the sixth floor looking into a coutyarde area. Very nice and quiet.

The Electra is a 3 star hotel, the room is a bit tired, breakfast is a large buffet. The room was pretty clean other than the usual mould in the small bathroom. The bed was 2 twins pushed together and hard with pillows that were way too soft. Absolutely fantastic location in the Plaka with lots of restaurants, cafe’s and shops. Very close to the main underground train station. Free Wi Fi in the hotel lobby. Good value for money for its location. Reception staff were fairly good on our arrival but really did not want to know us after that. Would stay here again for the location.

Great location, restaurant good with great view of Acropolis.
Will stay again.
