The hotel was pleasant enough, with light and airy communal areas/lounges and a bright spacious bar area, however the room was tiny and the customer service non-existant. We were glared at by the reception staff when we passed through and they only spoke to us if we aproached them. The only time they were helpful was looking after our bags on day of departure.
There is no-one to greet you at breakfast and only on the third day did one of the restaurant staff actually say "good morning"!
The breakfast, although plentiful, was most unappealing. All of the bread/rolls and cakes were dry and fried eggs could've been used as frisbees!
I had e mailed the hotel previous to our visit, to request an Acropolis view-they said they would try their best, however, we were put on the other side of the hotel, with only standing room on the minute balcony, even though the hotel was almost empty.
The location cannot be faulted, with good access to both buses and Metro and easy walking distance to the pretty Plaka area, cafes, bars and restaurants.
I can't believe this is a four star hotel.
