This was my last stop on my recent trip to Greece. I stayed in the Annex, kitty corner to the Oscar Inn. Just up the alley from the Inn. I was a bit scared after reading the reviews. Though I was pleasantly surprised to find the room clean. The bathroom's in all of the hotels I stayed in on my visit to Greece were small, with showers barely able to fit one petite person. All were clean though.
The hotel is located near a subway stop, which is handy to get to downtown Athens, where all of the shopping and restaurants and tourist attractions are located. If I make it back to Athens, I would stay closer to this area, as you're not able to access the area without taking a subway ride or cab ride from this hotel. The hotel is also located across the street from a large market. The subway was also fairly new, created in 2004, I was told. I found it easy to get around and the subways and stations clean, considering it's a major city.
The food in the hotel restaurant wasn't good - not terrible, just not worth the time, money or calories, and there are so many other good places to eat in Athens. The staff of the hotel was fine, average, not unfriendly or rude, yet not outgoing either. Just not as knowledgable of certain toursit attractions as I would have thought.
