I stayed at this hotel for a few weeks and I didn't think it was bad at all. Initially I was disappointed with the room, as it was a smoking room, however I asked at reception if I could change rooms and they were lovely and accommodating and moved me to a non smoking room. For a budget hotel it was fine, although I would say this is more 3 star then 4 star. The room was basic, bathroom small (but clean and nice enough), bed was comfortable and the balcony a bonus - although i did notice the housekeeping always left the balcony door open! There was only cable Internet, no wireless in rooms - only on ground and first floor.
The staff are very friendly. The location is good - a 10-15 min walk to syntagma square, 5 min walk to the metro station. The breakfast is not great, but there is a Starbucks next door and although I usually prefer local cafes, and try to avoid Starbucks, I must admit it was nice to get a decent coffee, as the Greek style coffee is not to everyone's taste. For a cheaper hotel, it was good enough.
