We stayed at this hotel in July 2011. I had booked an executive room, and was "upgraded" to a deluxe room. Don't get me wrong, the room was lovely, but it looked directly out onto a busy street, and was oh so noisy. We had also been led to believe when booking the hotel that they had connecting rooms. They don't. We were actually staying twice at this hotel on this trip, before and after a cruise. So when we were checking in the second time, I was again told that we were upgraded. I said that was nice, as long as we were not on the noisy road. No, they couldn't do that, so I declined the upgrade. This seemed to cause some problems, and it took them a while to find us our rooms. In the end we were in executive rooms, which are not nearly as nice as the deluxe, however it was much quieter and I was able to sleep. There was a taxi strike while we were there, and the staff was not helpful at all, they were obviously tired of people asking what they should do. Customer service at the front desk was lacking. The staff in the breakfast room was lovely, and the breakfast was very nice. The lobby of the hotel is very pretty, and the location was handy with the metro just a short walk away.
