Positives:
1. Staff are extremely friendly, caring and helpful.
2. Great location - a 10 min walk down (and I mean down) to the river
3. Nice view from the roof-top breakfast room

Negatives:
1. Stuffy, outdated décor
2. Small rooms, with extremely uncomfortable bed (and I am really not fussy about bed-quality)
3. Damp bathroom with inadequate airflow - mould on the ceiling and walls
4. Breakfast was low-quality with little choice

I had a simple standard room (the least expensive option)

Cons:
- Room smelled really, really awful
- Shower was tiny, water got all over the floor, the bottom of the curtain had mold. But pressure and temperature were good.
- Asking price (60 euros) is too high for the quality
- WiFi costs money, but it is available in the rooms

Pros:
- Well located right by the Aliados metro station. Not far from the touristy area. Right by the main tourist office.
- Really nice breakfast room. Pretty good all you can eat breakfast including yogurt and canned fruit, cereal and the standard bread and cheese.
- Flat screen tv with cable, but the tv was really far away from the bed and kind of hard to see.
- Elevator.

I would not stay again because of the smell and the nasty shower.

The hotel is conveniently located for everything in Porto, the rooms are clean, and the breakfast room has a lovely view. However, it has poor insulation and is located on a busy street, so we could hear cars passing all night long. Also, although perfectly adequate, the rooms are charmless and small (I left with a painful bruise on my shin from the bed frame). We felt the hotel would have been great at 40-50 euros per night, but at 75, we expected more. We had booked a suite - but the room had two single beds pushed together, and they switched us into a regular room with a proper double bed. The suite was just a larger room, and definitely not worth the inflated price. If you do stay here, make sure to get a room on an upper floor 5-7, to minimize the traffic noise. They do have an elevator.

I had bood a hotel for my daughter and I to spend a few days to get to know Oporto. Unbeknown to us, my husband had arranged to surprise us-the staff made it easy for him to make all the arrangements. Rooms (we had 2) were superior. Breakfast was included and served on bright rooftop setting (w/views). Front desk staff was wonderful, also spoke english and knowledgeable. Cidalia who was one of the staff during breakfast was wonderful too.
