A group of us stayed here from 8-10 July in double and triple rooms. Each room was adequately equipped, clean and tidy. We were really pleased with the hotel and found reviews on the third party booking website really helpful. Breakfast was good and there was plenty of it! Thanks to the friendly staff for their help prior to and during our stay. Great hotel, would definitely stay again.

The Sao Jose was difficult to find on its one way street, and by the time we found the entrance we had passed the carpark entrance. Paying E15 per day for parking was totally worth it, but don't take a car bigger than a Mini (original) as turning space is very limited.
The room was clean and quaint, although the double bed was a little bit small. The bathroom was modern, clean and the shower worked well. Towels were replaced as required.
The inclusive breakfast was pleasant and catered for a variety of cultural tastes. Lots of bread, cheese, yoghurt and ham. Some cereals with cold milk and a variety of hot and cold drinks.
The best bits about this hotel were the reception staff. They were helpful, friendly and informative. They were competent in a variety of languages and always greeted you with a smile.
Overall, it was perfectly fine for a short city break including a great location for both the city and the Metro.

This hotel was impressive in many regards. The staff were professional and friendly and spoke good English. The location was convenient to sightseeing in town and also to several local shops and cafes. The room was small and the shower was very small, with no tub. Also, had to park many blocks away.. The mini bar was great and cheap, but had minimal choices. We did have two waters and a beer for only 3.50 euros! Also the breakfast buffet was included in the inexpensive room price and was good, though choices were minimal (mostly bread, some pastry, and ham and cheese). The free wi-fi and ability to purchase quality Port wine on site was an added bonus! I bought one bottle of Port Reserve 10 anos, in a gift box for only 25 euros! I would recommend!

Arrived for one night only. paid 23 euros from airport using a taxi . The. Hotel is in a good locations close to everything you need in Porto . paid a good price ( under 40 euros) fir one night for two people with bfast in a town centre so I cannot complaint . Good bfast people very friendly. Room could do with some TLC but good tv good shower . Came back by metro ( 2 euros each) station is 5 minutes away and takes 30 minutes.
