The 3-star rating is consistent with the experience. If you are on a budget, this could be a decent choice, especially given the good location. However, our room was extremely noisy because window let in most of the street noise, which is considerable because the hotel is located on an uphill slope with cobblestone surface. Perhaps our window was defective, but I could get to sleep only with earplugs.

Internet is available for free, but only in the lobby area. Breakfast was included in the price but pretty poor in quality. A public parking garage is about 50m away, which was convenient.

If you are looking for a reasonably priced hotel in the old part of town where all the sights are within a ten minute walk then this is where you want to be. It is small and European which may put off some but as an experienced traveller I thought it was absolutely perfect. Lots of reasonable restaurants with a couple hundred yards. You will not regret staying here...unless you are expecting a Hilton.

I didn’t enjoy my stay here. The hotel “felt” grubby, my room was apparently the place where they’d dumped a lot of odd pieces of furniture that they didn’t know what else to do with, breakfast a sad sort of affair, dinner very over-priced on the one occasion I had it, one of the people on the front desk unfriendly (the other was OK), a depressing view from the room of the other side of a dirty, narrow street, bar with nobody in it (and no barman – if you want a drink one of the people on the front desk comes to serve you)…Its best point is its location. It needs a complete refurbishment
