The hotel was being decorated while we were there and this may have led to some difficulties but it was satisfactory in spite of that. It is well placed for visits to historic Porto and close to the main railway station. Our fifth floor room had already been repainted and the bathroom was fine. the bedroom was a little small but at the price we found it reasonable value for money. The restaurant served a pricey snack which was a bit disappointing so we did not try the dinner. In any case we had not booked a meal and there was a fado concert and it was very full.

The hotel is located on the main square and close to all the major attractions, bars and restaurants. It is also metres away from the metro station for transfer to the airport and these were the main reasons I booked this hotel.
There was some renovation work going on but was not a problem as I was out during the day.I had booked a single room which was perfectly adequate for my needs although the bathroom was rather cramped and made the use of the wc a little tricky!
My room did overlook the square and there was a liitle noise during the night. Breakfast was traditional continental so don't expect fried eggs and bacon.
Overall an ideal budget hotel for a short break in Porto.

Lovely hotel. Great value for money. Even with building working going we were not disturbed by it at all.

I stayed two nights here for business travel. The Hotel is simple but for a short stay it is fine. It is located at the central square of the city. My room was really small but offered all I needed for a short stay. The view was towards the square.
There is a very good restaurant in the ground floor
