This is a beautiful old house set in vineyards in a stunning part of the Vinho Verde country in Nothern Portugal. It seeps history from every corner of the house and is certainly one of the most stunning properties in the area. They have a wonderful pool, tennis courts, a terrace and beautiful gardens with vines growing in every direction. The owner is incredibly kind and friendly and went out of his way to collect us from the train station and even treated us to a fabulous lunch in nearby Guimaraes. You must try visit the winery and try their amazing wines too. The whole area is stunning and well worth a stop over visit or evrn a day trip. The trains leave Porto every half an hour of so and cost less than 2 euros each way for an hour journey! Highly recommended.
