Its a very nice place to stay.
Very good location. Near from the city center (by car), very quiet and calm área, and a phenomenal view to the mountains !!
The persons were very nice, helpfull and kind.
Simple room, with bathroom, and a nice breakfast.

My place of choice, when i wanna to visit Bragança.

The building itself is nothing special in terms of appearance and character, being quite modern and purpose built. But it is built in an enviable position on a hillside overlooking the old centre of Braganca and at night in particular the illuminated backdrop of the citadel is a magical view. From the way we were virtually followed all around the city's museum ( being the only visitors) it is clear that tourism is not yet so commonplace but we quite liked the mixture of the old and the new. Those parts worth seeing are easy to navigate on foot. Back to the hotel and the room was comfortable, large, with balcony, mini bar, TV, good en suite, bathrobes etc. The pool and poolside area were pleasant and we picked up a pleasant amount of sun, although some of the other guests a bit noisy- not the hotel's fault. Food was excellent, the "help yourself" breakfast in particular being good value for money. Discreet, but helpful staff. Good base for exploring this part of NE Portugal

We had high hopes of Northern Portugal but sadly this was a big disappointment. A very expensive hotel with little to warrant the cost. 17 Euros for 2 coffees & ham sandwiches is more like Paris! The hotel is 70's style so looking dated. The castle view is nice but it is not that great a castle and there are many howling dogs in the houses below that keep up the noise all night. The town seems depressed with many derelict / damaged houses and the EEC funded landscaping between the house and hotel already looks damaged and suffering graffitti from local kids. A local bar tender drove us out with the loudest possible nose and throat clearing obviously aimed at making us uncomfortable. Unless you have to be here stay in Spain, cheaper, friendlier and with much, much better roads.

The rooms are well equiped and have awsome views to the beautiful (and very warm) pool and to the Castel/Citadel. You can enjoy the same views on the restaurant. The breakfast is above average and, for lunch or dinner, I would highly recomend the "Bacalhau assado" and the "Vitela". We tried other things that couldn't compare to these plates. The staff is great, especially the ladies at the restaurant who couldn't be more gentle. Overall it was a very good experience.
