Stayed here for two nights on a Titan Tours trip round north Portugal. It reminded me forcibly of a hotel in Bulgaria I have used a few times - city location, rather noisy, concrete boxes, dark, poor food.
In fairness, despite its name and although supposedly 4*, the hotel and its staff have few pretensions, and everyone else there was clearly on business. The rooms were OK - basic, not much in the way of extras, but acceptable. Public rooms were poor. The restaurant may or may not be OK for private visitors - but on the tour we had 2 "set menus" for dinner - one was awful (no choice, simply veg soup, chicken and chips, dry tart), and the second a bit better. Breakfast was very limited in choice and quality.
It is right beside a main road junction and fairly noisy. One night we were woken at 0415 by drunken shouting outside and heavy music (car radio?) - a call to Reception was ignored after initial answering.
I would avoid this hotel again if possible. Its only advantage was being fairly close to the city centre and some nice local restaurants. I do not really understand why Titan use it - maybe they get it very cheap?
