We stayed here for a week in early December - the hotel was quiet, the rooms spotless, the food excellent (breakfast and evening meal alike), the swimming pool and sauna a welcome treat after a day out in the countryside, and the staff were friendly and helpful - the receptionist went the extra mile when at the end of the week our airline (TAP) decided to call a wildcat 3 day strike, necessitating a hasty change of travel plans to get home before we were stranded - the receptionist spent an hour on the phone for us, and made the necessary arrangements for us. I was very impressed.
The hotel is set in some pretty gardens, and being high on the hillside above Camara de Lobos there is a stunning view from the rooms' terraces.
My only criticism is the lack of a double bed in the room - two twin beds pushed together do not a double bed make! But I know that's a common continental arrangement.
A salutory comment (and one entirely beyond the hotel's control) - finding it by road is, without sat-nav and to put it mildly, pretty challenging! There are signs, but they're not intuitive by any stretch of the imagination. Print a map before you go, or make sure you have sat-nav...
