This comfortable hotel is in the hearth of Sintra just close to the Palacio National. Great for a stay in this lovely town. The hotel staff is very helpfull and kind and if you go by car you can park your car in the hotel car parking. The rooms are classical but have all comforts. It is not stilish or fashionable but quite and elegant. There is a computer available for the hotel customers and first of all the rooms are cleaned evey day.
I wouled go back there.

I am currently in my room at the hotel writing this review after a second night of room temps in the 90s. I have a small group staying here (thank God we leave today) and i have been beset by complaints from most of the people in my group. This property advertises air conditioning, but it doesnt deliver. I don't expect to get the temps down to 60, but i do expect to be able to sleep. The front desk was no help. the workman who came up to fix the TV (i didn't report a problem with the tv), waived his hand in front of the hot air coming out of the unit and explained to me that it was working properly. The rest of the service at the hotel was fine, and the location cannot be beat. None of this matters if you're up all night lying in a pool of your own sweat

I think this is not a 4 star hotel. At least the room that was provided to us. Altough we had arrived after the check in time, we have to wait almost one our to enter and the hotel was almost empty. There was a smell of paint in the room, the furniture was very old and was damage.The room was very small, with no view, and the worst was that there were lots of hair on the bed, it was really disgusting! Unfortunately I don't remember the room number to warn future guests.The only good thing was the location, very central and the beautiful town of Sintra, which I love.

Yes the outside is very ugly. Yes, the rooms may be a little dated. However, this hotel's locations is unbeatable! It's right in front of the National Palace, and less than 5 minutes away from downtown Sintra and all the restaurants.

Our room was very good, spacious with a nice very private balcony and great bathroom amenities. As I said, it is a bit dated, but it's very clean and comfortable. Definitely choose a room with valley view.

The common areas are great, they are cozy and inviting and have great views over the valley.

Hotel staff was great. We arrived way before checking time and they held our luggage so that we could go get something to eat (btw, the Bengal Tandoori is just around the corner on an alley).

I would definitely return to the Tivoli Sintra.
