We stayed two nights lovely room spacious comfortable although there was a funny smell in the bath. Very cozy to have a little fire in the small common area. Loved the ambiance and heritage feel. Excellent well priced food in the hotel diningroom with attentive staff very professional. Loved the fabulous pork. Very kind lady at reception on checkin. But we checked out very early and the Guy at the desk did not even try to assist me struggling with three bags. Which tends to lower a hotels rating. All in all though a lovely place

We stayed here for two days in December. The rainy weather probably contributed to the musty atmosphere. The staff were helpful and friendly but coudn't quite make up for the pervasive sense of neglect. The bizarre decor ( a bar lined with golf balls) didn't help. This hotel is definitely in need of an upgrade.

I made a reservation because of what I read on tripadvisor but this was my favorite place in so many years!

We booked for three nights but left after one. The room was tiny, furnished with junk that would not have fetched $50 at a flea market and the bed was as hard as a board. Mould grew between the bathroom tiles The so called terrace had no view and was furnished with junk. The whole place is filthy and smells of cats throughout and worse. The vaunted restaurant is simply dreadful. Mostly it is closed with unlaid tables,The few that are used are crowded into one windowless corner. Although we had booked to eat we took one look and ate else where. The ceiling of the restaurant is filthy. The waiter station was piled with rubbish. The breakfast is thrown on tables with little to no attempt at presentation. The waitresses "uniform" was old and stained. The hot food such as it was bacon egg, tomatoes was all piled into one hot dish and looked totally unappetising.
Before you enter this place check the state of the menu boards outside. Their condition should tell you what the rest of this place is like. A classic tourist rip off joint. Avoid.
