It was a nice small guest house with a very gentle mixture of old house with modern (but not cold) design located almost in the very centre of the Lisbon at the resident part (not touristic). We stayed in a room big enough, simple and sophisticated design with comfortable bed. It had a small balcony with a view to the river from the Lavra hill. I did enjoy the place.

Nice, if I am right, just redecorated.
- clean rooms (we had room 303 on the third floor facing the street/church).
- nice bathroom
- good location in Baixa, though you need to know it is on top of Lavra hill
- lot of local restaurants around with good food & unforgettable atmosphere
- comfortable bed

The only disadvantage was luck of proper wardrobe, but was ok for 3 days.
I plan to return there in Spring.

P.S. didn't use breakfast service.

I booked this Guesthouse 3 months in advance, for a weeks stay in September 2010. I booked it as the pictures and reviews seemed great. I requested a room on the top floor with private bathroom and balcony as we read that these were the best rooms. To our horror when we arrived we were given a room on the top floor, which had a balcony which you could just about step out onto, with a view of a crane and a building site! There was no wardrobe in our room, only 4 coat hangers attached to the walls and an extremely small double bed, no tv and small bathroom. I can't believe that we were given this room to stay in for a week. When we complained they told us that the only room they had available was on the ground floor. This room was better as was bigger, but very dark with it being on the ground floor, had a wardrobe but no tv and no dressing table. We ended up checking out and going to a different hotel!

Nice hotel within walking distance of the major attractions in Lisbon. Our room on the third floor had a small balcony that allowed us to enjoy some late afternoon sunshine, very nice.
