My friends and I found this hotel on booking.com for 20€/night/person with breakfast. We didnt make the reservation because we were going there on the same day we found it on the site and the hotel was empty anyway. We found it pretty easily, but the suprise only came after we wanted to check in... the price was 30€ instead on 20€... it wouldnt mind paying it if it was worth it... but the this would probably be the last place where i would enjoy staying: small, dirty, terrible bathroom (looked like it didnt get any upgrade in 20 years!) so after we checked the rooms, it tooks us half an hour to negotiate the price without success. The receptionist was so unfriendly and arrogant, that we dicided to leave. When we were actually walking out the door, the receptionist stopped us and told us that would could stay for 20€ but without breakfast. Didnt feel like arguying anymore, or searching for a different place, but the two night i spent there were one of the worst in my life.

The out side and reception area is okay. we were greated by a freiendly but devious man. he started to explain how when we booked it was not threw him so we booked a room with a sharing bathroom altho it clearly said un-suit so we were charged 30euro to 'Upgrade'. (10euro a night).But he warned us a smoker stayed here befor us so the room smelled.

He directed us to the elavator which looked like a death trap! so we took the many stairs!

On entering the room we did smell smoke but after awhile of airing it was fine.
The room was VERY and i mean VERY small and the view was of another building. The beds were okay and clean and the TV with lots of channal.

On our second day we were woken up at 7.45 but a hammering and drilling noise fron the second floor and this went on till we left at 10.

Breakfast is not much at all. Some breads and tea and coffee.

And after all that we noticed the 'smoking' smell was actually coming from the vent in the tolet so we had to keep the window opened which made the room really cold.

I would say only if your really stuck for a place to stay to stay here otherwise AVOID!!!!

Small room with old furniture but very clean, nice breakfast and very friendly staff...good location, you have to take metro to get all attractions but there is 2 stations few minutes from hotel.

After a warm reception and a speedy checkin from our host Basil we took the lift to our rooms one by one in great anticipation.To the envy of my extended family I got the much sort after room 210 with it`s panaromic views,air condtioning and in bed luxurious en-suite.Feeling refreshed from the spacious wet room power shower we headed for the many bars and restarunts in this great location.On returning to the hotel at 4.00am we were surprised to find the bar still open and enjoyed a cocktail with the multi talented bar man Basil.Breakfast matched the high standards of the rest of the hotel where we enjoyed the now famous `Basil Baguette' a culinary delight served by the tireless man himself.
