A very good breakfast with fresh fruit. Cleaness could be better. Excellent location. Very good price.

I must freely admit, I allowed Mrs MM to choose the destination of our city break, she wanted to go to Lisbon,Budapest was my preference.Lisbon was a fantastic choice, friendly people, good weather and the custard tarts!!

We settled on the HF Fenix Urban,which is located a few minutes walk from The Marques De Pombal Statue at the end of the Avenida Da Liderdade.

On arrival,in my haste I gave the Taxi driver the wrong hotel!!! Disaster avoided,we arrived, the lobby is small,the fixtures and fiitings modern. The recepton desk is very close to the electronic doors,the street was not overly noisy given it's proximity to an arterial road.

Check-in was smooth and we made our way to our room located on the 10th floor which came with a balcony and a great view over the city.The room was close to the lift which was a concern, however, during our stay it never caused us any issues.The room was a good size with all the mod-cons,the large bathroom was clean and tidy.

Breakfast was included in the room rate and offered a reasonable selection.I'm not a breakfast fan,there are much better delights later in the day.There was a enough to get me going.

In the evenings,we like to enjoy a drink before heading out for dinner,the bar was small and located near the reception desk,there was no draft beer !! Service was fine,Bruno was our friendly and engaging barmen.

Lisbon is a fantastic city and HF Fenix Urban, is modern and functional and was a very good choice,not too far from the action!

Clean and comfortable hotel excellent breakfast buffet.Front desk staff helpful and hotel conveniently located for metro.Only negative comment was expensive cocktails which involved a lengthy wait and were unpleasant.

The building and the hotel lobby/reception are far from being the most impressive. So the first impression won't be the greatest.

The service provided by the reception clerks are not always the same, some will treat well, some will not even realize you're asking for something.

The room has an adequate size for the hotel category, but I must say it was the smallest room I've experienced in my recent trip to Portugal and all hotels I've been to were 4 stars. However, the bed linen is of high quality and the free wi-fi internet connection worked great. The TV has a great amount of channels (two sports channel that was not provided by any other hotel I've been to in Portugal).

The bathroom is new and its size is great but the water pressure is not constant and the towels are really poor. It's unbelievable a 4 stars hotel to offer so low quality towels.

Breakfast is OK. Real fruit juice (two kinds), 3 or 4 diferent kinds of bread, 4 or 5 kinds of fruit, 3 kinds of cheese, 2 o 3 free hot options too.

The cleaning needs improvement. The room was full of dust when I arrived and it was not cleaned at all during my stay. The bathroom was adequately clean only when I arrived, during my stay it was cleaned only the bath and the toilet, the sink and the floor were simply ignored.

The underground parking has a nice price but it's designed to small cars, don't think of parking a SUV or a bigger car there and you'll have problems to get out.

I wouldn't stay again at this hotel, although it's a brand new hotel, there are better options in Lisboa at the same price range.
