“Very nice hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 February 2011

This hotel is very nice with modern furnishings. The room was clean and spacious enough since all we were doing was sleeping there. Parking on the street was a little tricky because of the one-way streets, but we found a spot after a few laps around the block. The room was air-conditioned but you have to insert your key-card into a slot on the wall to activate the electricity. This means that when you leave and take your key-card with you, then the AC shuts off and your room will get hot. Ask for another card to keep in the slot while you are out and your room will be nice and cool when you get back!

“Great value in Lisbon.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 January 2011

Stayed for 3 nights, and it generally met my expectation as a 4 star hotel. Nothing that let me down, and nothing really impressed me. Location was not in the center of Lisbon, but it was right near the subway that it didn't feel like a bad location at all. Interior was pretty nice, and free internet was a great perk. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable stay and not breaking the bank for it.

One last thing, I thank the gentleman in the front desk for going out of his way to find me a wine corkscrew at 3 AM in the morning. Appreciate it.

“Not bad for 4star”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2011

The main problem of modern hotels that thier modernity loses during certain period and the look some kind of "old".
I think, some years ago it was very modern new hotel, but now it lokks weird.
Rooms are clean, bath is good.
Very poor breakfasts with bad juices, fruits, and bad ham atd
Location not that bad, it's very close to metro and even if you like to walk to the centre - its not so far.
Free wifi

“Good Value in Lisbon”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 December 2010

Zenit was a good value for Lisbon, stayed three nights. Hotel rooms are clean, updated, quiet. Liked short walk to subway and shopping. Good restaurants close to hotel after a long day of sightseeing. Breakfast was a little sterile, not fresh as other hotels in Portugal. There is much to see in Lisbon and we enjoyed all the sights. This hotel is very nice and very reasonably priced. The rooms on the small side, but we were pretty much only sleeping in them. Very nice rooms! Quiet as well. The only (yet quite important) disappointment: despite what they say there is no wi-fi, and the only way to get online there is at PCs parked in the lobby. Expensive and inconvenient. Otherwise the hotel is likely one of the best of its class in Lisbon. Will stay again there next time.

“Not bad for the money”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 December 2010

Stayed here with a large group of friends, due to time constraints and budget this hotel seemed the best of our options..

Location is ok, it's out of the way, but taxi's in Portugal are very cheap for a big city, getting anywhere would only really cost 5 euros.

Hotel lobby was nice, rooms look pretty new, some signs of wear and tear

Complaints.

Reception service was always too slow, however i am ferociously impatient so you might not mind waiting 25 minutes while they figure out how to check you in or out.

The air conditioning in my room was broken, i know this for two reasons.. One, it was so hot we had to open the window, two, we had 6 rooms, the rest were cool, mine was not.
I complained half a dozen times, i even had an engineer in my room, who insisted my air con was fine.. which was both incorrect and annoying

Although we didn't have problems i witnessed both an english and spanish couple complaining about bed bugs, one lady was covered in them, like i said, there was 13 of us and we didn't have a problem, but the staff involved at the time didn't seem to care.

Cleaning staff.. if you are reading this.. please wear rubber soled shoes, as apposed to cloggs or stilettos, tiled floors and your thumpy feet do not equal a good nights rest.

Prostitutes in the lobby, nice. however, in all fairness Lisbon is actually a filth pit and i'd allow you to quote me that all hotels will at some point have prostitutes in the lobby trying to figure out which room their punter is in.
