I booked this hotel via booking.com just for one transfer night on our way to Rio. Arrived in the evening and left early in the morning, so I can’t tell much, but perhaps enough for the people considering it for short stay. What I liked most about this hotel was the price and location.
We took the aero-bus from the airport and got off at Marques de Pombal Square, but it’s complicated to find the way from that stop. It’s better to get off at Picoas as it’s closer and easier to get to the hotel from there.
We were charged the amount given while booking and the receptionist signed my printout to confirm the payment. He wasn’t very helpful with information about the bus tickets, but his colleague we met next morning helped us a lot and gave useful advice.
The room was on 3rd floor, basic but with comfortable bed, additional blankets and hot water in the bathroom. There was almost no view from the window (roofs and walls of surrounding buildings), but it was not a problem at all. There is a coffee and drinks machine at the reception. However, I can’t give opinion about breakfast as we left before 8 am to catch our plane.
It’s not a 5 star hotel, but for the reasonable price you get good service. If I’m on transfer in Lisbon again, I will definitely consider staying there again. As for longer periods, it may be OK too.
