“Good hotel, OK location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 June 2007

people found this review helpful

Clean, comfortable, relatively quite hotel. Location
is a few metro stops from the center, metro about
five minutes walk. No internet access, but there is
an internet cafe next door. It's not a very lively area,
but there are some restaurants.

You might not want to stay here if you have allergies.
The bathrooms have no ventilation and tend to get
a bit musty.

The "superior" rooms are a bit larger for not too much
extra. At the time we stayed, regular room was euro 60,
larger room euro 70.

Staff was quite helpful and friendly.

“Spotless Rooms, but a little small.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 May 2007

The room was absolutely spotless and the beds were comfortable.
I had a great nights sleep here - it was very quiet even though my room was located next to the lift.

The location is fine with a metro station 5 minutes walk away and lots of restaurants and supermarkets near the hotel.

The price was excellent. The only negative aspects of my stay were the surly receptionist who had a face like thunder and the breakfast which was very bland with no croissants. Just cereal, bread, ham and cheese to choose from..

  • Liked — Cleanliness and very quiet.
  • Disliked — Breakfast.

“Clean but Small Rooms”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 December 2006

A nice hotel with helpful staff. Rooms were obviously recently renovated, but were quite small. The hotel was spotlessly clean.
Nice Chinese restaurant around the corner (turn right out of the hotel door, then right again, and it's on your left).

“Great Litle Hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 October 2006

I was in Lisbon for a confernce and this was one of the conference hotels. tt is clean, quiet, and the staff are very helpful. I paid 44 Euros a night, and wuold gladly stay here again. Location is great and there's a cafe with wifi about 10 metres away. Cabs are cheap so it's easy to get to the Alfama and the Bairro Alto. Highly recommended.

  • Liked — Price, cleanliness.
  • Disliked — No internet access, although it was available in cafe next door.

“CHECK CREDIT CARDS OR PAY CASH!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 August 2006
5
people found this review helpful

We staid 8 nights.
They debited the whole amount of our stay on my credit card one day before we arrived at hotel. (unauthorized as I didn't sign any receipt)
They didn't inform us about this and we paid the total stay before we left.
So we paid twice but they refused to refund us once we found that the same bill was charged a second time.
They are still holding my money. They don't reply to our mail.
Then this is illegal!!
They could only charge one night in advance and not the whole amount.

  • Liked — It is near the city center but not so close to transport means
  • Disliked — they are not able to manage the whole hotel
  • Tips/Secrets — DO NOT RESERVE WITH CREDIT CARD NUMBER AND POSSIBLY PAY CASH
