Four nights in a double room featuring a view of a back alley and neighboring run-down building. The room was on the small side but not really a problem since we mostly used it to sleep in. The bed was comfortable and the hotel quiet at nighttime so we slept fine. Bathroom was quite large but water had to run for a good five minutes to get warm enough for a shower.

The location is perfect for exploring the city though with easy access to all public transport (trams, buses, metro and local trains). Wi-fi access only at the lobby from what I tried. Housekeeping kept the room nice and clean.

The hotel delivers what it promises and nothing extra, nice enough for a low budget city break.

My mother and I stayed at this hotel at short notice for nine days under the most awful circumstances. My father had become critically ill while on a cruise and was put ashore and taken to hospital in Lisbon.

Throughout our stay every single member of the hotel's staff showed us the most exceptional care, kindness and good service.

The hotel only serves breakfast but it is located very near many restaurants.

We stayed here in late October and found the location perfect for public transportation, sight seeing, shopping and the restaurant scene. Close to the Rossio square, it is a fun area to walk around in and people watch. bus and trolley service is located nearby. The hotel has been updated and has wi fi in the lobby. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the rooms for an older property in the heart of the city. Our room was clean and quiet being on the back side of the hotel with no view. Staff was courteous; but reserved. The price was excellent at about $70 dollars per night. One of our cheaper stays and a bargain for a decent room in a large European city.
