“reasonable for the price”

Hi
Stayed 10 nights, cheap Hotel. Staff excellent, helpfull a friendly. Room cleaned every day and bed made etc. Location spot on, Metro a short walk away. Easy access to Beaches via train at no great cost. Get Metro to rail station and half hour later you are on the beach, cost about 6 Euro for 2 return. Out of Hotel turn left, take first right and you will find an excellent and friendly Chinese resturant, also an Italian. Oh and not to forget the coffee shop next door, guy runs around like a headless chicken, but food is good. Complaints that fussy folk may not like, loose door handle, iron burn on carpet and Balcony door would not lock, but then you can leave valuables downstairs. My Partner and I liked this Hotel.

  • Liked — cheap and friendly, not far from metro and old lisbon. clean and nice breakfast.
  • Disliked — bit dated could do with redecorating but great for normal people, it's cheap don't expect perfection

This place is okay. It is very reasonable priced. The rooms are quite old, bathroom compact and somewhat in need of repair (cracked toilet, shower etc). The rooms were very noisy. Breakfast was included, it was quite basic.

“A somewhat underadvertised place worth staying there”

On booking this small hotel (should be rather referred to as "pensao" in the terminology used in Portugal), I had little doubts because of very scarse information I had been able to find on it in the web (i.e. no own website). Fortunately, this place turned out to deserve a very positive opinion, if it comes to the "price-value" ratio. As far as I know, it is by far one of the cheapest places to stay in Lisbon, but it offers a decent standard in a good location (city centre, near the Pombal-square). The building and the area are all right, the rooms spacious enough for two people so as not to constantly bump against each other or the furniture. Not many guests (mid July!), silence and a sense of tranqulility. Own bathroom (cleaned with a daily towels exchange) and... air conditioning! This was a very nice surprise for we were in Lisbon in July with a temperature exceeding 30C, and the AC did greatly help us to survive! The hotel owner - speaking a decent English, which is not too often the case in Portugal - was also very welcoming and on our departure day let us check-out in late evening (instead of the common "before midday") without any problems or additional fee. Generally: a recommendable place, definitely worth the money spent!

  • Liked — Welcoming service + air conditioning
  • Disliked — nothing special
