My father had passed away in Setubal and I had to make an emergency trip from San Diego to Portugal last Saturday. I decided to stay here because of the location and the beach. Upon arrival at 9.30am I asked the fron t desk clerk if I could check in and he said that check in was at 2pm. I had mentioned that I was here to bury my father today at 3.30pm and that I needed somewhere to freshen up and change for the funeral. He was extremely nice and put me up immediately in room 123, which is a suite facing the ocean with the biggest balcony on the property. The suite had a nice large livingroom with a queen couch bed and two small couches (which you could put together and turn into a bed). The bathroom had a jacuzzi tub/shower, a bidet two sinks and a toilet. They all were clean. Clean towels and plenty of soap, shampoo and other stuff.
The bedroom had a king size bed and a door to the balcony/patio which was huge. It had a table and 4 chairs on it. The bedroom was also very clean and had a safe(that didn't work) and both the bedroom and livingroom had flat screen tvs.
The hotel staff were amazing and very helpful. I had a massage that only cost me 30Euros. The free breakfast in the morning is well worth taking advantage of to start your day. Coffee, danishes, toast, cereal, juices, scrambled eggs and sausage or bacon.
The pool is nice, (only problem was pool attendant wouldn't let us have two towels each...rather silly) and the rest of the property is clean and very modern looking.
I would recommend this to anyone who likes comfort and clean rooms. You must splurge and get the best room on the place and get suite 123. I was there 3 nights and my sister came to stay with me and she decided to stay there for another week. Infact she's still there now .... at time of this review. The cost was 100Euros per night, which is well worth it. Hope this review helps as I didn't know why some of them were bad.
