“Location & Value”

The rooms are very tastefully furnished for a hotel in this price bracket and so the outstanding feature is good value for money in an excellent location. Handy for the metro and airport bus, you are also within walking distance of the city centre sights. Breakfast adequate, although it's cleared away promptly on the stroke of ten. There is genuinely fast free wi-fi and the staff are accommodating. The downside is that the hot water supply is limited - it's piping in the evening but can be tepid in the morning.

“Excellent location, lovely small hotel”

We stayed here in October for 4 nights. I was really impressed by the location. The metro is 2 minutes walk away and the airport shuttle bus stops right outside. You can walk to Baixa in 10 minutes or less, it's very close to Bairro Alto (lots of bars there) and easy to walk to the castle area from Baixa also.

We had a double room with balcony doors (although no actual balcony) facing the street. It was pretty quiet and we slept well. The room had wooden furniture, was nicely decorated and had A/C. The bathroom was small but quite perfect and had great hot water. The room was cleaned every day with new towels provided. We didn't have breakfast but it is only $5 if you decide to have some on the day.

I liked this hotel a lot. It was very comfortable, clean, conveniently located and the staff were very helpful with directions. I would definitely stay here again

“Good Prize, Excellent Location and service”

Stayed here for three nights, and was very pleased with this hotel. There is no luxury to speak of, with very basic rooms, a rather limited breakfast and very tiny bathrooms with no risk of burning yourself in the shower as the water never got really warm.

On the other hand; there's free wifi, the rooms were clean with flatscreens, lots of international channels, and AC, the beds are comfortable, allthough a little short, the service is excellent and all of the staff was really friendly, The location is perfect, and the price is very reasonable.

I stayed in one of the rooms facing the inner courtyard (304), and the only thing i heard from outside was when the neighbors used the door. Some of my friends who stayed in the second floor complained a little about noise from the reception though.

If I ever end up in Lisbon again, I would probably stay here once more.

Room Tip: Try to get a room away from reception area, as that may generate late night noise

“Would not stay here again.”

This hotel was very disappointing. Room was verY small, but we could live with that. The room was constantly filling with smoke from the lobby, I believe it was the evening staff. There were also very loud guests at 2am in the lobby one night and didn' t quiet down until I got up and said something. We complained in the morning, but the night clerk apparently was part of the conversation so he blew us off. Pillows were like lumps of cotton, beds were like cots. Only good thing was centralized locations. We stayed at hostels during our trip that were nicer.

“A lovely hotel with lovely personnel”

We stayed a week with friends at Dom Sancho. The location is excellent, a close distance to
the most historic areas of Lisbon. The rooms and surroundings (corridors, lavatories) very clean. The Breakfast included cereals, cold meats and cheese--basic but satisfying. And, above all, the staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful in every way. Actually, they became our friends; Mr. Sanguinetti, Luis, Paolo, Jaime,at Reception; and the young women--whose infinite patience awed us at Breakfast, were equally kind and helpful. My husband and I would definitely go there again--and we intend to do so.

Room Tip: Get one like Dom Sancho I where there is easy access to the most historical and fun areas of Lisbon...
