I stayed at the Corinthia for a weekend break with my girlfriend, and found the hotel to be comfortable, clean and generally up to the standard that I expected from a 5* hotel. Staff were polite and helpful, the hotel bar was comfortable with attentive service and room service was delivered quickly and well presented. The bed in the room was huge and definitely facilitated a good nights sleep.

My only gripe would be that the lift doors seem to want to kill someone so always stick an arm out before you attempt to get into one, otherwise you might end up with a bruise or two!

We have just returned from a very enjoyable stay at the Corinthia.The staff were always very polite and friendly.We loved the breakfast,the choice was amazing.On paper the hotel seems a little out of the way but it really isnt.The aerobus stops outside and the entrance to the metro is directly across the road.There is a lovely restaurant across the road which has a very good selection of seafood.My only gripe and it really is a minor one is I would have appreciated complimentary bottled water.

This past October we spent three nights at the Corinthia as the beginning point of a tour of Portugal and Spain with Grand European tours. Our arrival there went smoothly (thanks to the tour company) and our beautiful room was an oasis of calm and comfort after the overnight flight from the States. After a well deserved nap in the very comfortable bed we were able to find a good restaurant nearby. There were several in walking distance. It did seem to be on a busy street traffic wise. Because we were on a tour we did not venture far as we were occupied during our stay here. The breakfast buffet was outstanding. It turned out to be the best one of the tour, a huge array of wonderful items plus coffee/tea served at your table. On our second afternoon we were able to take advantage of the gorgeous pool area, there is an inside and outside pool. A great way to wash away the jet lag. It was an auspicious beginning to a wonderful Iberian tour. Cannot comment on the location in regard to the sites of the city or the value as we had a tour package. It was in my opinion the nicest hotel we stayed in on the two week tour accommodation wise and it gave us a great impression of the level of service we could expect during our trip.

The hotel is nice but I can't accept that they wanted to charge me extra 50 euros for a checkin at 12.00 instead of 14.00. Also Internet and parking charges are to high.
You can get a good deal in booking.com for this nice hotel, but be careful with all the extra charges.
