My husband and I were very happy here. Our room was spotless, and the adjoining bathroom was very nice. It's small, but the location couldn't be better.

Good things: this 'pensao' is located in the very heart of the city centre (Baixa) next to the main square Rossio . Ask for a room with private bathroom and a window on the square's side..you'll enjoy a great view of the castle on your right and the quiet but busy life going on the square Figueira form which you can easily catch a tram, bus or metro. Friendly and helpful staff .
Bad things: very steep stairs to reach the rooms located on the 3rd floor of an ancient building . They change sheets and towels every day but they are not so clean so..bring your personal ones!

Perfectly located - just steps from great restaurants, shopping, metro and theaters.. It's not a fancy place, but the staff was wonderful, the room was clean and comfortable and we were close to everything you want when you're on vacation. Would stay there again - recommend highly!

This place ticked all the boxes! Lovely room (with shower/toilet) overlooking the square. TV (Portuguese channels only but we enjoyed ET in English!), little fridge in room. The only mirror was in the bathroom, so would have liked another in the bedroom area. No breakfast served, but there's a kitchen available for guests to use and lots of bars/cafes close by. Everything was spotlessly clean and staff were friendly and helpful. The internet wasn't available during our 4 night stay but there's a Western Union on the square with net access. No lift, and we were on the 3rd floor but soon got used to the 68 stairs! Location is very central and convenient
