My partner and I stayed at Lisboa Camping for 2 nights in September. We had high hopes for the campground as it was supposedly awarded four stars and we had just come from another four star campground in Portugal that was amazing. However, Lisboa Camping did not quite live up to its stars. I think it has a lot of potential as it already has a gorgeous pool, large sites, and plenty of wooded area for tents as well as a shopping area. However, many things had not been kept up. In the bathrooms by the tent sites where we stayed, there were lots of bugs, things were not very clean, and all of the toilet seats were missing. The next day we showered in the pool area, hoping for a cleaner experience. It was cleaner there and no bugs, but the hot water had also been disconnected so we got a clean, but cold shower. The shopping area was also lacking. It had some basic essentials, but most shelves were rather bare, and the fruit and veggies looked like they had been there for weeks. We were also warned by a policeman to watch out for thieves in the park. They did seem to take security very seriously and had guards at the front gate and by the pool as well as plain clothes police walking around at night. I don't know what is going on with this place, but I thought it was such a shame as it really had the potential to be nice but it hasn't been kept up properly. Perhaps, they are spending all their money on security and have let the rest slide. Hopefully, someone can fix these problems in the future.

Possibly the best camping ground in the world. Although it is situated a little out of town, it has everything you need is right on site. Supermarket, restaurant, cafe, bar, travel agency. The bus from town only takes about 15mins and is dirt cheap.
The pool area is fantastic. The pool itself is huge, and there is another bar/cafe nearby. This campsite is fantastic value for money. You get the facilities of a resort at a great price. I will definately be going back soon.

Visited this campsite for Euro 2004. Large crowds there then, but, by and large, campsite moved up a gear to cope. Toilets/showers cleaned frequently, for example. Has bar/restaurant (music in evenings)and shop, also swimming pool and tennis courts. Large site, a bit hilly, with tree cover. Mixture of camper van and tent-only areas. Receptionists speak various languages. Cost is reasonable and security not over-bearing. Generally a relaxed site. Quiet and noisy areas could be found during tournament time. Bus 50 goes to football stadia and to Lisbon airport. Buses 14 and 43 nearby go to city centre and to Belem inside 30 minutes. Taxis also available. Had a great time there with fellow football fans, with drinking/barbecuing at our area often going on well into night!
